2025 Whiskey Triangle Summer Long Distance Race

I hope everyone has taken some time to recover from the race, as the first 1/3 of it was a doozy!

For anyone that didn't make it out, the forecast and results were NOT the same! There's nothing like a 25-knot downpour 2 minutes after the start to get the blood flowing. Thankfully it seems to have done wonders on the Sunset Fire up North. I happened across a video of the Viper 640 knocked over and having to keel hop a bit to get her back. Glad to see they kept it together. It's also nice to sail upwind to a mark, and then sail upwind again to the next mark. The lake left her mark on the race that is for sure. Things slowed up quite a bit later and it became a race for who could catch the right puff.

Congrats to Mahana for keeping it together and dusting the Red Fleet. The rest of us had a nice slapfight to finish it out. For the White Fleet, congrats to newcomer Orange Crush II, correcting out for a narrow win over Corrected Time, with Aisling a close 3rd.

Many thanks to all of you for making it out. I'm already looking forward to next year's edition.

Cheers,
